Justice @ 3:16 PM
Many that live deserve death. And some die that deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then be not too eager to deal out death in the name of justice, fearing for your own safety. Even the wise cannot see all ends.

Yes, why am I writing about this? Blame it on the TVB show I've been watching for the past few days.

The cop , innocent was charged with murder in which he had spent 15 years in jail for (life sentence actually) ; finally released, based on new evidence that proved him "not guilty", he sought out to investigate his own case, vowing to uncover who had framed him. It turned out that a large some of money was involved and the particular man hired to take the money also intentionally murdered the family , unfortunately the cop was at the scene also. Released from jail, he was unhappy with the 15 years he had lost.

Now this is what my post is about. Investigating you're own case is fine. Seeking the truth is fine. Punishing the criminal under the law is what should be defined as just, the law is impartial. But what does each individual define as justice? A police officer who follows the rules of law is one who carries out justice, an equal treatment for the criminal and the victim. What is portrayed in Gun Metal Grey is really what many individuals feel, almost 90% of the time, but the law is most important. The police officer  begins to execute personal methods to catch and punish criminals which is obviously not allowed, you could say it is illegal. Many would say : " the criminal is in the wrong, whatever ways you try to punish them, as long as they suffer it's fine".

The criminal who may have committed the most heinous crime is still human. He becomes the victim also when unjust actions are executed against him.

But, should the law, under rules and regulations release a criminal although many are absolutely sure that it is them but often hindered by small but effective loopholes.

We secretly rejoice when a criminal who was on the run had been killed or murdered under particular circumstances. They deserved it.

Maybe, we should just let karma be our law.
