Queen B dethroned. @ 6:39 PM
Time for the Queen B to be dethroned.

Having recently re-watched the Gossip Girl series, with Blair Waldorf initially as "Queen B",the constant power struggle to become the "leader" had turned into nothing but a jealous fight between modern teenagers. Although, the reference to individuals as "levels" of any sort is highly exaggerated, especially in these type of American dramas, it is only a reflection of how society has now gotten into the habit of categorizing people without the slightest form of respect.

On a large scale, the separation of society into various power levels is inevitable. But the categorizing of friends is .. shall we say, an insult. Recently, I was talking to a friend who attended an all girls private school who used the term "Queen B" to describe someone in her group , and spoke of the others and herself as : " under " her.

What does it mean to be Queen B? This term and various others are for those who constantly engage themselves in the world of stereotypes, to be blunt, we can say they are obsessed. The first thing that comes to mind when "Queen B" is said is a person who is self-absorbed and controlling,  they are not some one to look up to or one to be. The view upon this constant struggle for  members to "attain" this position is seen as..."funny" to others. This unnecessary categorization can be trumped by pure expression of opinion, but sometimes, it is better to agree than to disagree..just don't make it a habit. Even though people view the "Queen B" as someone with authority...their is a miserable side to it. Humans love to gossip, and rarely anything positive is said about the Queen B, I guess people pretend to look up to you only to mock you behind your back.

Enough said. It is time for people to wake up. I'm sorry to say, but it's time for the Queen B stereotype to be dethroned. And those who still strive for this position...I hope you look forward to being the center of everyone's vicious jokes.
